Hi my name is Cynthia Baum.
I'm the owner of MaidsToday.com. I like to provide maid service and
I also like to paint. I Started creating
art when I was 9 years. I am from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Move to California in 1989 to continue my art & cleaning business.





Today 2010 my style modern abstract. Creating many paintings for homes, galleries,
furniture stores, restaurants. A lot of my new paintings have colorful shapes, designs.
I try to keep the work simple. Give a feeling of a clean look to the painting.
When I'm painting I like to experiment with the paint, creating colorful painting effects
coming through the surface.Very eye catching when looking at some of my works.
The effects I us, scraping threw the paint on the canvass and sometimes with my
finger nails and using my hands to paint with.
I would then cover the whole art work with a very thin layer of paint, transparent coat in
the final end stages. Rubbing with my hands, fingers and, wiping with a cloth to bring
out contrast in the painting. After words AMAZING to see how the artwork changes.
It becomes really colorful in some areas of the painting causing a the major
theme of color. When finished with the painting. I would get very excited and
in the end while painting I would imagine the artwork as the one and only one master piece.
That it would one day be hanging in a famous museum .
Wow!! What a dream.. and that's why I love to paint. The dreams
keep me alive. To be a know as a famous. To know someone appreciates my work,
the feeling I give through my paintings. To know that everything I've live and work for
or failed that dreams do come true if your heart becomes it!!
